Just something I've been toying with. I made various adjustments to the colour levels of the game using ReShade and gave it the "Cartoon" shader which attempts to draw stroke lines around models. Cartoon shader isn't quite refined enough to get the exact effect I want but it comes reasonably close.

This game has always struck me as being very colourful so I figured this would be a good way to capitalise on that. I also modified the textures of the characters to remove the "glossy" effect they normally have, which complements the cartoon shader and colour adjustments.

Perhaps one day in the future, we will have a more refined cartoon shader so we can get thicker lines on the characters specifically with lighter lines on the environment. I think it would suit the game and give it a more timeless look.
