Welcome back to Sonic Rivals 2,

Last time we learned that Silver had been collecting chao in order to somehow save the world.

This time we join Knuckles who needs to collect some rings in order to fuel the Emerald Detector, but before he can get to it Silver shows up saying that he needs the chao, which Knuckles just lets him get to.

We then join with Shadow, who is informed by Dr. Eggman that NEGA had been taking over his badniks in order to destroy Eggman's base, to stop the badniks Eggman asks Shadow to destroy the robots.

We then join Sonic who runs after Shadow to ask him why he is working with Metal Sonic.

A little later we join back with Knuckles and Silver, the Echidna asks the time traveler why he needs the chao, and when Silver tells him that he needs them to save the world Knuckles finds this unbelievably ridicules.

We later join Eggman through Metal Sonic, the doctor is wondering who Eggman NEGA was talking to, a little later Tails shows up and this ends with a fight between the two of them.

We then join with Rouge and Espio with the former just having pinpointed the location the Emerald Radar was pointing towards only to it only being a Chao, but when Espio goes to pick up the Chao they realize that the creature was obscuring a Chaos Emerald, which Rouge then goes to grab but before she can Espio takes it and leads Rouge away from the Chao.

We then join Eggman who instructs Metal Sonic to distract Sonic and Tails to which the blue hedgehog tells his sidekick to go after the robotic hedgehog.


After everything we back up with Silver who explains to Espio what Eggman NEGA is up to and that is that he wants to unleash the Ifrit which is capable of destroy the world.

"Eggman" then shows up as well as Knuckles and Rouge, the echidna then wants to know where "Eggman" had taken the Master Emerald, which the doctor denies even having anything to do with going missing.


We then join back with Shadow and Metal Sonic, and just as Eggman was going to tell who NEGA was communicating with NEGA himself shows up but before Shadow can confront him NEGA puts on his impression to fool the just dashing in, Sonic the Hedgehog.

"Eggman" then goes out in his: Egg Dealer (not to be confused by the Egg Dealer from 2005s Shadow the Hedgehog)

After destroying the Egg Dealer, we join back up with Knuckles and Rouge,
Knuckles then tells Rouge about what Silver told him and she finds the story just as ridicules as Knuckles did.
At this point the Emerald Detector picks up the signal of not one but two Chaos Emeralds.

We then join Shadow and Metal Sonic with Eggman through the robotic hedgehog telling the Ultimate Lifeform that Eggman NEGA found some files from professor Gerald Robotnik, Eggman's grandfather, that go into the Ifrit which is now explained to be an interdimensional beast that NEGA wants to set free upon the world.
In order to do this though Eggman NEGA needs the seven Chaos Emeralds.

We then join Silver and Espio, Silver explains to Espio that not only does NEGA need the seven Chaos Emeralds, but he also needs Chao, which the Ifrit needs to consume in order to become invincible.

Lastly we join back up with Sonic and Tails, who pick up another one of "Eggman's" pages which tells them that the Ifrit destroyed an entire world.
After this Rouge and Knuckles approach the duo to ask them if they could help them with collecting rings to help Knuckles and Rouge out.

*the "Eggman" is to represent that this could be either Eggman or Eggman NEGA since the character we're getting the story from doesn't know NEGA is there or not.
