Dark Gaia Cauldron

A very minor difference between the Wii/PS2 version and the 360/PS3 version that crept up where I didn't expect it is in the capitalization of the "L" in "EggmanLand." It's capitalized in this version but not in the other version. Very strange. As such, I'll keep the capitalization conventions when I'm referring to the final country of each version. So youll know what I'm talking about when I say "Eggmanland" or "EggmanLand."

Dark Gaia Cauldron is the final Werehog stage in the Wii/PS2 version out of 5. By the time you get here, you're probably already sick of the Werehog. I enjoy the Werehog stages but even this tested my patience. The story here is that Dr. Eggman built his EggmanLand amusement park on top of the final Temple of Gaia, where Sonic can restore the last Chaos Emerald and become Super Sonic. Apparently, Eggman was unable to destroy the Temple of Gaia so he built around it.

The cauldron seems to be either the lava-filled rooms that make up the central parts of this stage or those tanks the second fight is set on. (They're made to resemble colossal versions of the regular Egg Pawns, by the way.) While a place like this seems like a ridiculously big lava pit, Dark Gaia is huge. This would be like a drop of lava for Dark Gaia, not to mention needlessly cramped full of pipes and walkways, so I don't know why it's called Dark Gaia Cauldron. You'll also notice the last room in this game is made of stone. That's the Temple of Gaia, and I assume the Goal Ring is located above the Chaos Emerald pedestal. Dark Gaia isn't going to hand it over to Sonic without a fight though, which is where Sonic the Werehog has his last and toughest battle against Dark Gaia's minions.
