0:00 Tantalasia Shrine
Since I accepted that quest, I can't go past the bridge until I beat the boss of Tantalasia Shrine. At the entrance, you'll recruit Wein, who is basically a more physically oriented version of Griswold. The shrine underground has a healing pool that's convenient for grinding.
At the boss room, you'll find a giant tree, a bunch of Forlorn, and Raziel. As a Gauf, Raziel wants to slay the Children of Light right here, right now.
7:50 Boss: Raziel the Summoner
If you used buff foods ahead of time, you should be able to quickly eliminate the Forlorn mooks with Virgil's party-wide spells. I got lucky and managed to win before Raziel could summon anything.
10:53 Returning the Children
Raziel flees and the rest of the party can be spoken to outside, though Wein is busy inside healing the Soravendomas tree. You can also ask Griswold more about the tree. Once you talk to everyone, Wein will return with the missing children.
Back in Orgard, it looks like Azrael left because he saw no more value in occupying the town. The guild HQ is destroyed though, so I won't be able to claim those chests. As for the children, talk to their mother and refuse the money reward to get a Power Glove.
20:40 Bridge of Khargynoth
Azrael hired a bunch of trolls to intercept us at the bridge, and Bruger has a grudge against trolls for killing his father. Sadly, I didn't put him in the party, since I still wanted to grind Wein. There are quite a few troll mobs to go through, so I hope you brought some MP restoratives.
26:00 Boss: Sergeant Grog
His allies are weak to fire, but he's weak to ice. He has a great axe, but you can buy a stronger axe soon, so don't worry too much if you fail to steal it.
31:16 Exploring Dupre
Turn right at the first fork to get to the port town Dupre, but don't buy any gear. The sea routes are under the domain of a dangerous kraken, which hurts the town's economy. I postponed that quest though.
West of Greyhem is a higher level area, but you can stick to the road to avoid encounters.
39:32 Shaketown
42:42 Miner's End
This mining town has good, but expensive gear. Still, skipping an entire tier of equipment is really helpful. As you explore and loot the town, you'll find Swordhand's mansion. There's a locked combination door (code:481) that contains a bonus boss.
1:07:15 Boss: Hanzo, the Black Death
I don't recommend fighting him at this point in the story, since he's made for a higher level party and he, as a summon spell, cannot be used until you recruit a summoner character. If you do want to fight him, make sure you have both physical and magical damagers, since he can shift between being vulnerable to physical and magical attacks. Also, bring Elaenia for her group Fortitude buff.
1:15:05 Karharnin
Continue towards Sovereign to reach Karharnin, which is a destroyed town with a single Celestium Shard.
