For the final battle of Tigerfest LXXI, I choose Tower Control on Flounder Heights. This brings out the Tri-slosher in me. I can't resist an attempt at a flank at the start, which just about catches out the E-litre 4K. A second peek over the roof was a mistake. I take the conventional route back, and get to the roof to see the back of a green inkling. I pursue, thinking I have a splat, only for a Hammer to appear from nowhere. I head straight back, jinking as the Tower comes my way, and pop up over the top of a wall to slosh with little effect, get surrounded, and eventually splatted. I shouldn't have lasted that long, and still didn't do enough with my ink.

Still the Tower comes. I throw some Toxic Mist, recover some ink, and pounce. I get two splats, the Tower is stopped, and being a little cautious moving forwards finds a third splat. We can start to make some progress. I move ahead of the Tower, look for approaching inklings, and pull out an Inkjet for some long-range inking. I don't hit much, but I do attract some attention away from the Tower. I land to find the Flingza Roller nearby. They are splatted as I approach, which also drops me to the turf. That's okay, though, as I splat the Nautilus 47, and look for more splats, only to run in to two Ink Mines, making me rather vulnerable to pretty much anything.

A super-jump back to the Tower pretty much goes to plan, getting splatted on landing, and wasn't really worth the risk, despite us being close to the lead. There is still too much time left in the battle for such a move. But never mind, I'm not the only one. We reset as the Tower resets, and I try to keep hold of the central turf. That doesn't go so well when an Ink Mine slaps a Point Sensor on me. My sneaky route back over the wall seems like a better idea, only for another Ink Mine to hit me, heck it, letting the Flingza Roller on the Tower line me up like a sucker.

I decide to try the flank again, tidying up as I go. I wait for a Wave Breaker to end, so that I am not tagged yet again, and pop up. An Ink Mine hits me, because of course it does, but I'm close enough for it not to matter too much immediately. The E-litre 4K escapes, but the Flingza Roller doesn't, before the Nautilus 47 picks up on the tag. My squidmates are swarming the Tower, though, and making progress again, so I super-jump back and guard the rear, seeing an inkling nearby. I finally splat the Splatana, only to find the Tower turned around and a Flingza Roller on it. The Flingza didn't see the Suction Bomb, though.

My squidmates are super-jumping back, and so do I, as they push the Tower forwards once more. I hit the turf this time, on the far side of the green team, and my oblique approach catches them unawares. I splat the Flingza Roller, push the Splatana away, and spot an opening against the litre 4K. I splat the charger, then the Splatana, and my splatting helps my squidmates on the Tower push past the checkpoint and in to the lead! Nice! I catch up with them, splatting the returning Flingza Roller, and manage to squid on to the Tower to celebrate with my squidmates at the goal. Woomy!
