Splatoon 3 Side Order DLC Roguelike Levels 2 and 3 Poison & Bomb
I'm glad they vastly improved the game with a single player campaign that has a gentle suspend feature in between levels.
You do take advantage of your surroundings, like me running and jumping away from black ink, and using poison and bombs.
There are several mechanics:
1) Even if using a crappy gun (good lord that and the lack of single player/local multiplayer were massive dealbreakers before the $40 sale and this), you want to mark your territory to swim in, and do jumps on walls.
2) You get new abilities every floor. Definitely organize and sort stuff out.
3) Accept there's always someone better. I didn't imagine I'd fare out to start pretty well after getting constantly owned online, and online weapons don't transfer to single player.
4) There are tons of news segments (people prescribed things on Shiver rather than just let the game designers and imaginations be quiet). You can skip some by pressing on the left analog stick.
5) It is hard to really tell the difference between these inkling or squid kids or whatever (and get used to the limited customization as your ink color changes by plot/team). Seems they're octolings and inklings based on the fandom/wiki
https://splatoonwiki.org/wiki/Octoling
6) It does provide a unique experience, like using the gyroscope (and you can turn this off or reset the camera to use while laying down).
7) This game is played to be explored as opposed to just shoot or read a lot of political posts (1 person had a sign about Palestine and another about lesbian dlc, which goes back to what I said about point 4). I am glad you could turn these signs off by other players, though I wish you could skip the news recaps but I think they may disguise load times, which aren't too bad.
8) Think about what skills to manually improve: like the ink terrain, being able to escape, accuracy or knowing how to detect enemies better. It really encourages a lot of thinking as opposed to shooting everything that moves, as you'll have to reenter your ink to reload, while swimming 🏊♀️.
9) Check the menu for other campaigns (side order is in the train station).
10) Some in game stores won't let you get stuff below level 4, which won't transfer to side order.
I appreciate the midnight releases and high view counts recently. Not sure if I can keep it up but I'm glad there are some good ideas.
