Honestly I am impressed by this game on so many levels, but not because of what is reviewed.
The physical had a warrior within preorder skin (that I got despite getting this late), I liked choosing the Persian language as a dub (native tongue like Tchia is nice and this gives you english and a few languages, with tons of subtitled ones) and ubisoft connect gives you so much stuff from the getgo with art that it felt like I got the digital deluxe, which is impressive nowadays as they usually undermine physical.
I wish they marketed that tie-in, but glad I found it so I needed to make a vid. PS5 version (I normally do ps4 and upgrade when possible but this $30 physical sale made it more viable). Too many quote that Ubisoft guy for saying to get used to not having physical, but not give props for this (and I am not on Ubisoft+ neither).
Finding the art is by going into the game (easier to find in app). There's a points system in ubisoft connect for more, but the stuff in vid I got for free as part of the digital art book, and the fan kit has well over 100 images). Did use original prince of persia music for that part.
Having these options helps in conjunction to optional guided mode as it can be easy to get lost in this genre (plus thankful no bs git guud souls/elden ring bs) that people call metroidvania (improve with items over time with progression barriers, and fight like 2d castlevania). There is a very frequent autosave that helps a ton so I don't feel stuck having to play.
I just see it as a 2d side scroller like zelda 2 with that cool downward slash. I was surprised earlier footage didn't show blood as enemies do bleed in the game, which helps.
For flaws, I do think the presentation and graphics are kinda forgettable (I believe the switch runs well), but I am glad it doesn't drag on or feel sloppy.
