This is the non-commentary version of the Spore playthrough, LP version can be found here:

GOG version is being used for this playthrough

The creature stage is the last stage where you can customize your creature body, so make sure your creature is just how you want it to be for the rest of the game since there will be no going back past Creature Stage, beyond that you can only customise the clothes (or more accurately the accessories) your creature will wear.

The tribal stage is where the gameplay changes drastically, as now instead of controlling a single entity in a RPG style game, you control several entities in a RTS style game.

The overall goal is similar to creature stage, you need to interact with other tribes whenever itโ€™s peaceful or warlike, you start out with a few tribe members and need to gather food to not only feed them but to breed more members and buy new tool sheds.

The tools you are given are sort of random, for peaceful creatures itโ€™s not really a problem but for warlike creatures it can determine how well the early game goes since you either get weapons to take down enemies easier or their buildings, not both.

Combat is allot more tedious because of this, even once you get the needed weapons it's still a pain due to the fact that it takes forever to destroy the main building of your enemies and they also can keep spawning as long as they got food, their chieftain will also respawn after a while which can make things very tedious.

Additionally, certain tribes will also attack you if you take too long to deal with them as they grow increasingly hostile towards you, peaceful players can still befriend them by giving them food so it's not impossible to do a pacifist run for this stage.

Iโ€™ll get into more detail on the civ stage in the next part.

On this part, we suffer a game crash, prove that we are smart by throwing sticks and don't need knowledge of irrigation and other farming technology to advance to a civilization
