Nomura recently showed up as a guest speaker at the Monaco Anime Gaming International Convention 2017 and he brought with him two new screenshots from the Final Fantasy 7 Remake! They highlighted some of the menus, and also showed off the first boss, the Guard Scorpion.

However, he stated that while he wanted to show some Final Fantasy 7 Remake gameplay, the higher ups stopped him from doing so, hence why he only showed off some screenshots.

It's always good when Nomura talks Final Fantasy VII Remake, especially as it was so soon after the 30th Anniversary event. Here's hoping we'll be able to see some gameplay footage soon, but taking their time to ensure it matches the final release is also important.
