Squirrel Apocalypse And 5 More Changes In Divinity: Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition
Divinity: Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition is not just some tidy GOTY edition, but a hefty overhaul that changes thousands of lines of dialogue to improve the story and quests, and adds a squirrel knight attempt to stop the squirrel apocalypse. It’s pretty special.
In this video we look at the biggest changes to Divinity: Original Sin 2 in Definitive Edition - the way the story is padded out to give Act Three a bit more heft; the way levels are subtly redesigned to give you more adventuring and to improve the story; even the way the interface has been tweaked in the journal and inventory. There are hundreds of changes, some big, most small, all adding up to a much smoother adventure.
If you already own Divinity: Original Sin 2 you will get the update for free when the game releases on 31st August - you’ll also get Sir Lora, the squirrel knight, as a bonus companion. I know we don’t usually recommend people pre-order games, but you’re not really pre-ordering this as it’s already a working game. I think it’s okay to give this an early thumbs up (although I am interested to see how the game’s performance improves on PC, so you might hold off for that information).
