Dead Cells Gameplay | RPS Take The 'Daily Challenge' Challenge
Dead Cells is almost upon us/almost out of early access for those who couldn’t resist its roguelike-meets-Metroid action. So what better time to challenge the Rock Paper Shotgun team to take on the Daily Challenge mode - you get four minutes and thirty seconds in a dungeon. Who will make the most of the challenge in this new Dead Cells PC gameplay.
The aim of Dead Cells Daily Challenge is pretty simple - you need to squeeze as many points as you can from a dungeon in four and half minutes. There are points for thwacking enemies with the random weapon drops the dungeon gifts you on any given day, but there’s a big fat pool of points if you get to the end and smash the boss to paste within the time limit. It’s the whole risk/reward thing: do you gamble on hanging in the main dungeon at the cost of time to take down the big bad at the end? It’s high stakes stuff, which, er, might not be conveyed by the team’s efforts today. You are not about to see masterful play.
Dead Cells leaves early access on 7th of August, which is very exciting for the many people already in the clutch of addiction. I can’t get enough of it myself, I just wish I was better so that I didn’t look so feeble in this video. We’ll have the full review on the site soon and I will post it in the comments below. If you enjoyed this video, please do consider subscribing to Rock Paper Shotgun and please do say nice things in the comments. If gives us the kind of warm glow normally reserved for a legendary blood sword.
