Use headphones only with any virtual surround features turned off. Best HRTF effects at 0:24 and 3:40. I'm playing this with Sky Reclamation Project v1.1.2 using most of the recommended add-ons, Improved LuaJIT Library, the DX10 fix, Real Weapon Names, ReShade's SMAA, and the 83FOV patch for vanilla+ gameplay.

This is S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky with OpenAL Soft's HRTF (IRC_1037). Clear Sky has to be one of the worst sequels to any game ever made. It's literally the same as the first game but worse in every way. It runs like shit on modern hardware, too. You would be hard-pressed to find a shooting game experience more painful than the first hour or two up until you meet Sidrovich. Seriously, can you name any other game where the tutorial is harder than the rest of the fucking game?! Clear Sky is so shitty, I actually scrapped the planned Limansk recording just because no one would want to watch me peek around corners in the construction site for 10 minutes.

Note that despite having an option for EAX effects, vanilla S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games have no reverb whatsoever. While Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat give the option for using DSOAL (under "Generic Hardware"), it doesn't add any reverb.
