The Star Fox team have gone through the Hard Path, and they have made it to Venom, but not without a fight against the Star Wolf team and their upgraded Wolfen II. The Star Wolf team is a very difficult fight with their upgraded ships, and they will attempt to stop Fox and his team before they make it to Andross.

We make it to Venom, but not without another fight with Star Wolf, and this time, they have upgraded ships, the Wolfen II, the more advanced version of the Wolfen, and they have different dialogue when you defeat them and during the fight, Pigma telling them he has a better ship, and Andrew is even more serious than before. As the Wolfen II is the advanced version of the Wolfen, it does resist lasers and bombs better than before, and they can even barrel roll, this is considered one of the hardest fights in the game, as this is called the Hard Path, and interesting fact, prior to recording this video, I have never beaten the Star Wolf team and their Wolfen II in Venom before, and I have seen the true Andross fight, and what happens after that, but this is my first time taking on the true fight with Andross.
After defeating the Star Wolf team, and by the way, shooting down the Wolfen II does give you 50 points, bringing it up to the 200 hits required for the medal, and Fox goes through the tunnel leading to the deepest parts of Venom.
On the Hard Path, there are branching paths, some of them lead to power-ups which can help in the fight, and after going through them, it is time to take on Andross. This fight is similar to the Andross fight back in the Easy Path, but this time, we are up against the real Andross, you have to shoot his eyes, which is his weak point, and shoot his hands to destroy them, and when Andross tries to inhale you, fire a bomb to stop him from using the move.
After dealing enough damage, this is where the true fight begins, as Andross reveals his true form, and claims that he has the brains to rule Lylat, and this is even harder, because you have to try and shoot Andross enough times, and you can take damage when you are caught by Andross, and he does teleport around, as the battle takes place in All-Range Mode.
After defeat Andross once and for all, it is time to escape, and you have to follow another Arwing out of the tunnel and right outside, I wonder who could be the pilot of that Arwing, and the team congratulate Fox on defeating Andross.
Then we get the credits, and that is the Hard Path done, and you do unlock Expert Mode, which is a harder version of the game, if you have unlocked all of the medals in the main game, the difference in Expert Mode is you receive more damage from enemies, and there are more enemies, even some that don't normally appear in a certain place, and another bit of detail is that Fox wears some black sunglasses, referencing his father James McCloud. You also unlock Sound Test for unlocking every medal, where you can play every song from Star Fox 64, and if you are wondering, I won't be aiming to get all the medals, it is really difficult, specially in areas like Sector Z and many others which require a lot of hits to get a good score.
Star Fox 64, or Lylat Wars, is done, and this is a really good game, a lot of memorable quotes, but I would say it is one of the harder games to complete, specially if you are taking the Hard Path, I do like some of the boss fights in this game, and it is good to play this game on Nintendo 64 - Nintendo Switch Online as one of the first few games included, and I did record all of this game back when Nintendo 64 - Nintendo Switch Online first came out about a year ago.
