The Star Fox team have made it through difficult challenges, and next up is Area 6, which will lead them to Venom for the final showdown against Andross. This place is known as the Venom Air Defense Zone, and with the help of the Great Fox, the Star Fox team fight their way through Andross's forces, who are throwing everything they have in their attempt to stop the Star Fox team.

Area 6 is the final area on the Hard Path, well before Venom that is, and unlike Bolse where you were given an easy task, Area 6 is no easy task, because Andross is sending everything he has at the Star Fox team, and I like the music for Area 6, one of my favourite songs in the game.
We get introduced to Caimen, one of Andross's leiutenants, and then gets shot down by Falco, who says "Too late! Game over, pal!", and at the start, there are some space mines, watch out for them.
Falco will then be under attack, and some of the enemies in this course include satellites, and during that, ROB64 gives us a memorable quote "Great Fox will cover you.", when I first heard that quote, I misheard that as "Great, Fox. We'll cover you.", but it turned out ROB64 was referring to the Great Fox, not talking to Fox.
A bunch of enemy missiles come out way, and we get some dialogue between Caiman and his commander, and Peppy is under attack, and then we get a message from Andross, who refers to us as tin cans, and we then get to the checkpoint after Andross's dialogue.
Then the next wave of enemies, and time to break through the fleet, and then Slippy is under attack right as we approach Venom, and we get through their last line of defense, but before we can even get to Venom, a boss waits at the end, this is Gorgon, and for the boss fight, when the core opens, shoot the glowing balls, and when the core closes, it fires missile, shoot the tentacles while the core is closed. Gorgon can teleport away and reappear, and when you have destroyed its tentacles, time to shoot the glowing balls inside the core, and repeat this till Gorgon is down, and there is an attack where if Gorgon's core is open, it will fire a massive laser, this is really powerful, so try to avoid that when the laser is fired. When you shoot the energy balls, shoot Gorgon to destroy it, and with the last line of defense down, it is time to head to Venom.
As there are a lot of enemies in Area 6, the amount of hits you need for the medal is 300, and this is one of the tougher medals to earn in this game due to the amount of enemies you have to defeat in this course.
