This is a limited time Wild Area Event, it is live from October 21st till October 23rd, and this does tie in with The Crown Tundra, which did come out two years ago around the time the event is live, and I didn't even realize that the Urshifu event months ago tied in with the Isle of Armor's 2nd year.
During this event, Spectrier and Glastrier will be appearing in Max Raid Battles, and you cannot capture them, but you do get some good rewards for defeating them, including a free Ability Capsule, some rare Berries, and a good amount of Dynite Ore, and there is a chance of obtaining a Bottle Cap from those Max Raid Battles.
To prepare for the Max Raid Battles, you will want to bring some good Fire, Fighting, Rock, or Steel-type Pokémon to take on Glastrier, some good options include Zacian, Zamazenta, or Charizard, this one is really challenging, because it tends to use Swords Dance at the start of the fight, and its Chilling Neigh boosts its Attack if it takes out a Pokémon, and it knows Max Quake, which is devastating against any Fire, Rock, or Steel-type Pokémon you use against it, Max Quake could likely come from High Horsepower. Glastrier does also learn Bulldoze and Stomping Tantrum, as it must know a Ground-type move in order to use Max Quake, and I have seen it use Blizzard, which is questionable, as Glastrier's Special Attack stat is really low compared to its high Attack stat. I haven't seen it use a Physical Ice-type move, the main move of choice is Icicle Crash, Glastrier can learn Avalanche and Icicle Spear, and I have seen it use Max Knuckle, and the possible Fighting-type moves it can learn are Close Combat, Superpower, and Body Press, or it could even have Double Kick, this is from experience on what moves I have seen Glastrier use.
Next is Spectrier, it has high Speed and Special Attack, and this one likes to start with Calm Mind, and it has Max Phantasm, which could come from Shadow Ball, as that is one of Spectrier's main moves to go with its high Special Attack stat, I have not seen any other moves aside from Max Phantasm and Calm Mind, Spectrier's movepool is really limited, so I could see why. It is a good thing it doesn't have Nasty Plot, that would make Spectrier even more harder to deal with with its Max Phantasm dealing huge damage. Dark-type Pokémon like Grimmsnarl, Galarian Moltres, or Single Strike Urshifu are good options to deal with Spectrier, as they resist Max Phantasm and can deal some good damage against it.
I was surprised they didn't include Calyrex in the Max Raid Battles, as Calyrex is the main Pokémon from The Crown Tundra, but it was a good thing they didn't include Ice Rider Calyrex or Shadow Rider Calyrex, that would make things even harder, although Shadow Rider Calyrex shouldn't be too hard with that 4x weakness to Ghost and Dark. There was news that from November 2022, there will no longer be any more updates, the next update will be the final one, I am not sure what it will be, I am predicting they will put the Galar Starters in the Max Raid Battles, much like what they did with the Alola Starters last year, and you can fight against Rillaboom and Inteleon in their Gigantamax Forms, as they have not yet appeared in Max Raid Battles, we did have Gigantamax Cinderace in one of the Wild Area Events, but you couldn't capture it. I did read that they would include Gigantamax Pokémon that aren't normally available in Max Raid Battles like Snorlax in that update.
