In Cyprus three UN workers have become the first ever to traverse the Buffer Zone on foot in less than 60 hours. Sgt Andy Gillies, WO Wayne Rowett and civilian Max Dyck completed the challenge in 56 and a half hours, covering a multitude of different terrains and with only four hours sleep each. Welcomed with open arms the Buffer Zone challenge trio were helped over the finish line by their families, sleep deprived and sharing a variety of sprains, twists and blisters between them.
