Engineers developing cutting edge thrust technology to power a former Tornado pilot to a landspeed record of 1,000mph have been talking about the challenge. Today there was an opportunity to get a feel for what RAF Wing Commander Andy Green will experience as his super car - the Bloodhound SSC - thrusts forward into the record books in 2012. A simulator was on show that allows a cockpit view of what super landspeed is like. The real thing will see the driver experience astonishing G Forces.
