(English below) Gameplay de las dos primeras misiones de Star Wars: Dark Forces, desarrollado por Lucas Arts y lanzado en 1995.

Lo juego con The Force Engine, se trata de un port creado mediante ingeniería inversa, que permitirá jugar a los dos juegos realizados con el motor Jedi (Dark Forces y Outlaws, aunque de momento solo Dark Forces es compatible) en sistemas operativos actuales, y con varias mejoras en todos los aspectos. En su versión actual 0.91, principalmente nos permite jugar a Dark Forces en HD y con controles modernos (además de niveles creados por fans). Por el momento solo funciona en modo software, pero en su versión 1.0 tendrá renderizado por GPU que permitirá varias mejoras gráficas más, incluyendo corrección de perspectiva al mirar arriba y abajo.

Recuerdo que en su día este juego estuvo considerado uno más de los muchos clones de Doom que salieron a raíz del éxito del juego de id Software. Sin embargo, creo que llamarlo simplemente clon es injusto, pues el juego trataba ir un paso más allá ofreciendo niveles en los que no solo debíamos recorrerlos hasta encontrar la salida, sino que también debíamos cumplir una serie de misiones en ellos. Yo veo este juego como una especie de precursor de GoldenEye 007.

Cuando salga la versión 1.0 haré otro vídeo, y puede que se trate de un longplay mostrando el juego entero.

I play it with The Force Engine, it's a port created by reverse engineering, which will allow to play the two games made with the Jedi engine (Dark Forces and Outlaws, although at the moment only Dark Forces is compatible) on current operating systems, and with several improvements in all aspects. In its current version 0.91, it mainly allows to play Dark Forces in HD and with modern controls (as well as fan custom levels). At the moment it only works in software mode, but in its 1.0 version it will have GPU rendering that will allow several more graphical improvements, including perspective correction when looking up and down.

I remember that in its day this game was considered one of the many Doom clones that came out in the wake of the success of id Software's game. However, I think that calling it just a clone is unfair, because the game tried to go a step further by offering levels in which we not only had to go through them until we found the exit, but we also had to complete a series of missions in them. I see this game as a kind of precursor to GoldenEye 007.

When version 1.0 will released, I will make another video, and maybe it will be a longplay showing the whole game.
