We finally get started on Mister Qi's quest! After settling our Stardew Valley and Ginger Island farm, we go into the now blue-coloured mines...

We start the day receiving a Cactus Fruit from Leah! We pan in the farm's pond and find some free Copper Ore. Afterwards, we plant some grass and release the animals! Some grass patches are immediately consumed by the animals with no chance to grow... Oh well.

For the rest of the morning, we get to work clearing up some debris on the farm before they get the chance to spread. Then, we head to Ginger Island on Willy's boat.

On Ginger Island, we maintain the island farm before heading to the forge for equipment upgrades! Upgrading the Galaxy Sword with rubies allows us to slay monsters much faster, as the sword already has a high attack speed. We combine the Napalm Ring and Lucky Ring for a ring that would help us greatly in finding staircases in the mines.

The spreading weeds destroyed one starfruit plant, unfortunately... Only 480 gold I guess? We clear out the island quarry for the first time this year as well!

In the evening, we lug some stuff back to Stardew Valley and head to the mines! Since we are on Mister Qi's quest, Danger In The Deep, the mines have been reset and apparently look very different as well! The Stone Chest from Robin's special order comes in quite handy, as we can easily store our loot at the top of the mines when we unlock the elevator every 5 levels.

The mines look quite strange, but overall it does not seem that difficult! There are new monsters (does a re-textured Slime with Mr. Qi's face count?) and the volcano rocks seem to be spawning in the mines as well. The volcano rocks seem to give more stone, as we have witnessed during the Robin's Resource Rush quest. That is very useful for crafting staircases, admittedly!

The floors seem to be ocean-themed, which is interesting. There are floating/flying squids, and we can even forage for Corals and Clams! Seems like the luck bonuses from the Lucky Ring and Spicy Eel is very effective, as we manage to progress to floor 20 in a short span of time. Luck affects the spawn rate of staircases.

In the mines, we encounter a new green ore, Radioactive Ore! It seems quite rare, and we have only seen it in the recipes that Mister Qi sells in his purple walnut room. I wonder if we can upgrade our iridium tools to radioactive ones?

Our newly-forged Galaxy Sword and combined Napalm and Lucky Ring are really helpful as well! We use a staircase to skip the spiral level, since that level is notorious for being difficult to complete, especially if a staircase spawns in the middle.
