Take on Meowser in this final fight!
I figured I should make a proper final boss level for my Super World which I'll be updating once I make a few more levels. I figured since you could kill Meowser with red POW blocks, I'd make a chase sequence that ends in a POW fight. I kept playing around with adding different mechanics to the chase sequence but due to Meowser's relative unpredictability unless you really study his patterns, I figured all of them made the chase more irritating so in the end, I pretty well just ended up with a 2D version of the final boss of Super Mario 3D World. Not exactly the most revolutionary level, but dang did I want to use that excellent music.
I originally uploaded a version where the final bit required you to hit the on-off Switch for each POW block so you were forced to dodge Meowser more. However while I personally found more fun because it felt more like an actual fight, it was repetitive and that version did not get very good reviews. I'm sad you basically can just repeatedly stunlock him now with 4 hits in a row and I thought about adding a beat block to space out the POWs more but in the end people would probably still end up frustrated so I settled with just forcing you to cross the level once or twice. Honestly, I may wait and see how the clear rate fares if it hits popular and make another adjustment after that to maybe remove the final powerup or reduce it to a mushroom and add the beat box back in to put some tension back into it.
