Honestly, this level came about because I hadn't really made an airship level in SMM2 (well, outside of 3D World which isn't so much an airship as it is a disco castle). I remembered that a while back I had an idea for a sky stage involving springs and platforms falling via parachutes which quickly got discarded when I realized springs can't have parachutes. However, I remembered the night airship gives only items low gravity and so I decided to make a level based on that.
Normally I am against most levels that don't use powerups. However, I opted not to include them in this level because there's really only a few spots in the level where it'd come in handy (not counting areas where I substitute grinders for pits as an aesthetic choice) and the advantage of having it for those spots was outweighed by my fear of somebody smacking their head when super during a tricky jump. Technically you can get through the level without banging your head with a mushroom, but I didn't want to accidentally anger someone who might do it.
