Steam Input Experimental Test: L4D2 Order / Response Quick Gesture Swipe
Thanks to L4D2 Last Stand Update's Controller changes, I've been overhauling my entire PS4 config from scratch, and I'm pretty happy with it thus far, aside of lack of a "LS Click-like [Order] Game Action.
As I was working on the config, I had a idea on how to use [Order] and [Response] Vocalizer Quick Menus while freein' up buttons for the more important ones.
Initially, I went with the Dual Trackpad method by using the Left or Right Stick as a way to navigate while touching either the left or right sides of the Touchpad...however, I had yet ANOTHER bad idea: What if I just use the Touchpad to just Swipe instead of the Thumbsticks?
This video clip is the end results after testing and adjusting the sensitivity.
After this video was released, I went ahead and spend additional hours fine-turning the system until I'm satisfied with the Gesture Swipe system despite the current limitations. (Although, I've heard from one of the Steam Input team that Gesture Swipes is planned to be a Steam Controller Configurator feature soon)
You can try out the new Gesture Swipe setup (or use the Thumbsticks) via DS4 Gyro-Optimized Configuration page.
