[OUTDATED] Friday Night Funkin' Gamepad Support - but it has issues, so I fix it.
UPDATE: As of Version 0.2.8 (Week 7 Update, currently Newgrounds exclusive as of this writing); you can now rebind your Controller or Keyboard+Mouse control schemes via the Option Menu, no need to use any input mappers!
In addition; you can now use the Face Buttons to hit notes alongside the D-PADs, although the Reset Button is shared with the Up Face Button by default (you can rebind the Reset Button to...The Left/Right Bumper for example).
(it's like the Funkin' Devs saw this video or something?)
---------
Friday Night Funkin' does support Gamepads and it should work on Major Controllers like Xbox Controller, DualShock 4 (but no DualSense Support) and Switch Controllers(?), however there are issues.
Just like Keyboard Controls, you use the D-PAD (or Left Analog Stick) to hit the Arrows. That's fine and dandy-- but you quickly realized that you can't use the Face Button alongside the D-PADs like you would with WASD+Arrow combo on the Keyboard.
Knowing the game's weird difficulty curve (in fact: this gameplay footage is on Normal Difficulty, and I specifically chosen "MILF" song for this reason reason), this makes the default control scheme unplayable above Easy Mode.
To solve this problem: I use a Input Mapper (in this case: Steam Gamepad Emulation), and rebind the Face Button as D-PAD. this should make Gamepad more plausible on Normal Difficulty.
