Hello there, all you wonderful people, and welcome to another episode of An Ecologist Plays, where we talk about nature while playing games! We recently started playing Icarus, and it has been so much fun that we decided to play it a bit during live streams... so, here we are with Part 5 (of five) of the live stream we had on 22 January 2025. In this part of the stream, we find another cave to explore, gather some ore, talk about how llimestone caves are formed, and do quite a bit of hunting! We also set our hoouse on fire (on purpose), and I am exposed to some friendly fire...

Of course, as we play through the game, I discuss the ecology and adaptations of the various plants and animals we encounter, and answer any questions you may have.

Our live streams run 18:00-21:00 South African time (UTC+2), so come join us then for a nice, relaxing stream.
