[Stream] 2023 7DRL Let's Plays (5/7)
2023 7DRLs Batch #5: Cave Runner, Rogue Hike, and Decker (shortly after starting the latter my internet went down for a few minutes, so that got mostly split off into its own segment/the following video).
* 00:00:14 - Cave Runner (https://pharaoh439.itch.io/caverunner): Steal back stolen loot from goblin caves and escape before they catch you to sell it back to the owners and buy supplies to help you in this mostly non-violent #7drl. Not too hard overall, as long as you don't get too greedy too fast, but there is some interesting strategy in there with funny bits.
* 01:05:11 - Rogue Hike (https://jaideng123.itch.io/rogue-hike): Use limited resources to navigate and survive the wilderness and its dangerous wildlife across a multiday hike. Reach camp more quickly to have more time to rest up and prepare for each leg of the journey. Turns are a bit slow, and the deck-based mechanics aren't fully explained or really necessary/the most effective way to implement these mechanics, but it still offers some challenge in figuring out the most efficient way to proceed.
* 02:20:10 - Decker (https://illiux.itch.io/decker): A heavily Cogmind-inspired traditional roguelike that has you infiltrating your choice of target systems, upgrading your hardware and buying new programs, running software to overcome passive and active defenses... There's a lot going on--it's pretty deep, and one of my favorites this year! We had the dev with us the entire time as well, providing lots of interesting input.
