Streets of Rage is a beat 'em up game developed and published by Sega for the Sega Genesis in 1991. Players act as Adam, Axel, or Blaze who saves the city from being overtaken by a criminal syndicate led by Mr. X.

I never really played much of the first instalment in the franchise as I was just a young kid when it came out back in 1991. I actually played it after I played SoR 2 but it was still enjoyable to know the beginnings of the franchise and the story with Mr. X.

This playthrough is that of Axel and as always, I will do a playthrough with Adam and Blaze as well so stay tuned for that.

This playthrough was done using the OpenEmu app on my 2021 Apple M1 MacBook Air, paired with my 8BitDo M30 Bluetooth controller.
