In this mission, we need to gather 800 wood and 160 stone before the time limit expires.
Unlike in previous versions of stronghold, the hovel is more effective when placed near the keep. This means you want to reserve the space around your keep primarily for hovels, because if you place them too far away they will be ineffective for the same amount of wood.

Woodcutter camps or Lumber camps in this game has also been changed. It is now a 3 man camp much like the stone quarry, but you want at least 3 to 4 of these if you want a smooth start in every mission. Don't limit yourself to 1 or 2 woodcutter camps or you will be bottlenecking your entire town build due to lack of wood.

Build apple farms to supply food to your villagers. Right now this is the only food building you can build till you get in later missions.
