Oh, boy... I've never thought that I'd be putting out a combination like this, but here it is. For the first time ever here, a crossover video of BlazBlue, and Akatsuki Blitzkampf. Also, essentially a "Goodbye Summer" combo video as uni years are about to begin. Yay.

If you've never heard of Akatsuki Blitzkampf, it's a doujin fighting game made by the Subtle Style circle. Unlike BlazBlue, where there is tons of room for nuance and freestyling, Blitzkampf takes a step or a thousand back and gives an on-the-ground style of fighting instead, with really basic juggling and chaining mechanics.

Unfortunately, this means that combo options are extremely limited in Blitzkampf, as you might notice from the video. Fritz, as an example, basically only has one real combo to speak of, and even that must be done in the corner!

Blitzkampf would be actually a really fun game to play around with combo-wise, but the biggest issues here are that instead of running, characters here have hops, and hits begin applying gravity and pushback incredibly quickly. And since there's uncancellable hops/dashes here instead of running, there's no way for you to catch up with the juggled opponent, unlike for many characters in BlazBlue. There's no hitbox or rapid cancel gimmicks to play around with either.

On the bright side, I did manage to find some nuance. Akatsuki's triple wallbounce combo as an example, was an extremely hard combo that took a lot of attempts to successfully record, and is probably Wei specific as well. I managed to do some Mycale combos utilizing her spear special, including a fullscreen combo, though that won't happen in a real match. Lastly, Blitztank basically only has the option of using its 2B into a special, followed by a super or its level 3, but I did manage to find two things worth noting : the Blitz Mine loop, which speaks for itself, and the dash combo. Blitztank's dash actually hits the opponent, and if you do it from a further distance, it will hit meaty enough to combo into its light version of the electric barrier, which then confirms into its level 3.

The rest of the video should be pretty self explanatory.

The song used is Struggle to End from the album of the same name, by the group LC:AZE.
