A multi-game combo video featuring BlazBlue Centralfiction, Koihime Enbu RyoRaiRai, Nitroplus Blasterz : Heroines Infinite Duel (with the focus of this video being this one) and Battle Fantasia in a tight-link packed collection of wild combos, having made possible thanks to a temporary lucky break from university.

The time has come for a repertoire expansion, and so here we are, just like the name of the video suggests! While Koihime Enbu is on the simpler side of the spectrum gameplay-wise, its combo system is extremely intricate nonetheless and allows for some really long, wacky combos, while Nitroplus Blasterz, simply put, was definitely a blast to work with (despite it feeling restricted and underwhelming at first!)

This time around, since I have had dozen BlazBlue videos and clips since, and not much new stuff in Battle Fantasia to showcase, I decided to focus on Koihime Enbu and Nitroplus Blasterz, the latter even more so thanks to how much freedom its Infinite Blast system and assists grant.

A quick rundown of both games' combo systems for viewers to whom these games are new :

-RyoRaiRai :
-Outside of the Hougeki combo system, there's very few links, and almost no chaining whatsoever. Very few moves can special cancel.
-Of course, the Hougeki system is the main attraction : landing certain moves (6C, 6B, 3C and 3B on airborne opponents are the universal ones) cause the Hougeki (Fatal Counter) state, where the scope of combo potential changes greatly. In this state, the opponent is always allowed to bounce once per hit, and as long as you can get another hit in, the combo will keep going.
-On top of that, you get three pursuit chances per combo : a high launch, a wallbounce, and a groundbounce.
-The main limiters in Hougeki combos are the ever-increasing pushback midscreen, and the rapidly increasing gravity in the corner. At high enough hits, no two hits will combo in the corner! Of course, having an anime-style gatling system would be pretty overpowered here, so the lack of chains can be conisdered a limiter on its own.
-Therefore, Koihime Enbu combos boil down to keeping the opponent out of the corner and using crossup attacks as much as possible, while getting in the maximum amount of hits before resorting to pursuit chances.

-Blasterz :
-Has plenty of gatling options, as is usual of anime fighters. All characters have 5E (Blasterz is a five-button game) that either wallbounces (most characters) or launches (Saber, Ignis). Using this button well is the key to longer and more stylish combos.
-Hitstun depletes rapidly as hits are added, with this decreasing more if heavier buttons are used.
-Infinite Blast Cancel is the main source of style in this game : allowing entirely new combo routes to work, while also allowing existing ones to do so even late in combos.
-And of course, assists. In my opinion, the restand and crumple that Kaigen (forward-moving slash) causes and the massive untech time coming from Amy (the hang-gliding girl : she is quite easy to combo into compared to other assists) are easily two of the best assists in the game, and can be used for lots of routes!
-Comboable command grabs make not only Ein and Ethica, but me really happy as well.
-Seriously, there's so much potential that a handful of clips were required to not make the cut, otherwise this would have been a Blasterz-only combo video (it almost is, though...)

There's definitely a lot more to show in Blasterz, and while there isn't as much in RyoRaiRai, there's still plenty to make-do with, so expect to see them next time around as well!
