This game might look casual but it's has quite abit of depth.
- has auto combo (three variations/three paths)
- flying cloud npc (if you hit it, can drop colored gems, item orbs, or food (regain life))

They did include extra buttons to help casual (maybe it was in the original, I don't remember).
L1 - special move ( + additonal input)
L2 - mighty combo ( + additonal input)

For akuma this translate to;
L1 = fireball
up + L1 = air fireball
back + L1 = dragon punch (anti-air)
forward + L1 = throw
down + L1 = hurricane kick
down+forward + L1 = hyakkishu (3+L1)

L2 = fireball super
up + L2 = air fireball super
back + L2 = dragon punch super
forward + L2 = raging demon

R1 = item toss
R2 = mega crush (you drop all your gem)

colored gems (enhance special move; more damage and better hit-boxes)
item orbs (ice orb, fire orb, bomb orb, etc; deal damage and or stun)

While there isn't a limit to how many you can acquire, you can hold up to three at any given time. You also can hurt yourself with them, like if you drop it infront of you and then stand over it.

Color gems (level up gems) will decide whether you like or dislike this game.
The advantage they provide is very noticable and it affect how you play.

If your opponent has level 3 fireball and you have level 1, you won't be tossing fireballs, just won't work. This is the situation I'm talking about (27:37), Hsien-ko is only level 1 (all three bars) while I'm at level 3 (red bars (that's the fireball one)).

There is a way to steal gems from opponent (guard crush);
- special button (can be charged)
- Forward + special button (can be charged)
- down + special button (can be charged)

Look at 8:57 (charged attack; a big squared red gem was loss), see bottom right, went from level 3 to 2 (red bar)

The stages contain so much information; guest appearance, background art style is very darkstalker.

Whoever made the credits, they look like they had fun making them.

I suppose I should say this, you are able to input 3 different input for the same move.

up + 63214 41236 + punch = air fireball super
up + 41236 + special = air fireball super
up + R2 (mighty combo) = air fireball super

"Special" button should of been named something else, maybe "guard crush"?
"special" button and "special move" button sort lead to messy conversations.
