As a casual growing up; I avoided Contra games like the plague.
Regarding this run, it's a segment run.
Mainly used the homing attack...why? I don't know?
Area three and area five are the probably the hardest to learn.
This version (Contra Anniversary Collection) allows you to save your game.
As far as I know, there's only one save file slot, which makes saving a dangerous affair.
There are different filters (scanlines, retro gameboy colors, etc.) but went with the default one.

- If you crouch (hold down) on the far right (safe spot), you can see that mob's attack, also only one mob will appear. The attack is similar to the area 3 boss (11:42-11:47 - comes fort from the body)

- This section may be tricky because how homing attack tracking works; recommended to not attack while crossing under the falling boulders

- If you touch the wall (13:51), you can safely gauge the distance (no guess work)
15:32 - A very possible and undesirable choice?
- Very easy to grab the flame thrower (weapon power up capsule) by mistake
- Flame thrower is strong in this game, however, homing attack is not obtainable in this stage
16:14 - The hardest section maybe? Until you learn how to cheese it.
- Elevator ride doesn't start until you jump.
- Use the reference/position at 16:23, you can just crouch and shoot (16:28) for the whole ride up.
- The reason I move at 17:01 is cause homing attack is not 100% reliable for the section at 17:11
Homing attack's tracking fails;
2:29 - fail 1 (jumping targets, almost died here)
2:36 - fail 2 (how did it not track it? (weapon power up capsule))
3:46 - fail 3 (should be targetting the missile tube)
5:11 - range limit (weapon power up capsule); not a fail
7:37 - prioritizes gun cannon over boss; not a fail
12:32 - fail 4 (how did it not track it? (weapon power up capsule))
