Super Ghouls 'N Ghosts Expert Playthrough: Opening & Stage 1
8After Loki's defeat the final battle of Ghouls 'n Ghosts, Emperor Samael/Sardius took over as the leader of Hell.
He wants to locate the Goddess Bracelet, the weapon that killed Loki, and knows that Princess Prin-Prin Guinevere knows the location of it. The Princess is then kidnapped once again by the demon's minions.
Now, Sir Arthur must fight his way through an endless sea of Hell's monsters... twice, in order to kill Samael, and once again save his sweetheart.
Compared to Ghouls 'N Ghosts, Super Ghouls 'N Ghosts gave Arthur a few buffs and nerfs.
Nerfs
- He lost his ability to throw his weapons straight up and straight down(in midair).
Buffs
- He can now double jump.
- He has new layers of armor upgrades, let me count the ways.
-- Level 0: Boxers: One more hit and he dies by turning into a skeleton.
-- Level 1: Silver Armor: His default form.
-- Level 2: Bronze/Green Armor: Upgrades his weapon's capabilities.
-- Level 3: Gold Armor w/ Red Sun Shield: Arthur can now charge his weapons with magic for different attacks and effects, his Sun Shield breaks after one projectile impacts it.
-- Level 4: Gold Armor w/ Blue Moon Shield: It's just the same as Level 3, except Arthur's new shield can take 3 projectile hits before breaking.
It probably goes without saying that Arthur's nerf will not be a big issue, but any armor level above Level 0 will have Arthur revert BACK to Level 0 should he take any direct damage.
The boss is Cockatrice. Killing him is very simple: Keeping shooting his head.
