The NES's Super Mario Bros. 3 from '88 is still a huge hit, mainly because it's the OG. It nailed so much on its first go that it's tough to find any big issues with it. Visually, it screams 80s, but it was a step up from earlier NES games with its more lively characters, a bunch of different textures, and shadows that made the platforms look cooler and more 3D.

Then there's Super Mario All-Stars on the SNES, which came out in '93. It was all about keeping the original gameplay vibes but giving the graphics and sound a major upgrade. Right when you start it, you get this awesome color explosion, showing off what the SNES could do. The game looks and sounds softer and more polished, kinda like Super Mario World. But gameplay-wise, it's pretty much the same deal as the NES games, even down to the UI at the bottom of the screen.

OG or Remake, Which one is your favorite?
