Subject Doing a no powerup run of Super Mario: Oiram's Invasion v1.2 by Gamma V. This however isn't a blind run this time because I've already played the hack awhile ago. This is actually her contest entry for the recent Christmas Level Design contest but she submitted it to the hack section so it's now an official hack as well. Despite playing the hack already I don't remember every detail about levels to where it makes playing through them easier.


Info: So I've noticed that I've been running through a lot of vanilla styled hacks lately so I decided I want to run through a chocolate hack this time. (Or just a hack that has custom content.) I'd figured this would be perfect to run through since it was submitted recently. So far out of all the Christmas entries I've played this one's my favorite one.

So this went pretty average. The grassland and the sky theme'd levels I managed to get through without any hassle. Ironically the sky theme'd level was easier then the previous two levels. The cave theme'd level wasn't so bad despite it taking a few tries. I'm just not good at levels that involve avoiding cheap cheaps this way. I've played a fair share of them and always die quite a few times. The lava out doors theme level also took a few tries though this one was actually a challenge to get through with no power ups. Those snakes that shoot fire were usually the ones to end my run as sometimes I'd jump right on them as they were shooting fire. (Don't know the actual name of those enemies.)

Suddenly remembered why I never record in the morning. There was a huge glare on my computer screen from the sun which really got in the way at the last level.
