Immediately after defeating Boomer, you will be brought to the top of Bowser's Keep for your long-awaited showdown with Exor. In battle, Exor is revealed to be the skull atop the sword, and is shielded by the eyes on the sword's face.

You must knock out one of Exor's eyes to bring down the shield and harm the main section of the boss. Each eye has its own stats and set of attacks, and will revive to resume shielding Exor after a few turns out of commission. The mouth is also its own enemy, but its only role is to cast powerful magic.
