It is time to get the last few Blue Coins in Corona Mountain, and collect the remaining Shine Sprites. Corona Mountain is a very challenging area, as this is the final course in the game, and Mario has to get through a bunch of platforms and make use of the boat to cross the lava if he wants to stand up to Bowser and his son, and rescue Peach from the Koopa King.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

This is the final part of Super Mario Sunshine, because in this part, Mario enters Corona Mountain, which is a volcano on Isle Delfino, and the inside of the mountain is a large pool of lava with a bunch of platforms, some have spikes and some are burning platforms which require FLUDD spraying them. There are some platforms as well, the first one has a 1-Up Mushroom, another has a Blue Coin, and after crossing the platforms, there is a sprinkler which you can use to refill FLUDD, as you will need the Squirt Nozzle for the boat section, and if you crash into any of the spires, Mario can fall into the lava, and that is an instant life loss.
There are 9 Blue Coins around the last platform above the lava, and most of them require the boat, and when you have all 240 Blue Coins, you can trade them in to the Racoons in the Boathouse for 24 Shine Sprites, bringing the total up to 119 Shine Sprites, the last one is at Corona Mountain.
After all the platforming and controlling the boat, on the last platform is the Rocket Nozzle, which you need in order to jump from one cloud to another, and at the highest cloud is the final boss fight.
Bowser is waiting at the end in a large bathtub filled with green water, while Peach rides on a rubber duck. Bowser attacks by breathing fire, and you can spray Bowser to stun him temporarily, and Bowser Jr. will be shooting Bullet Bills. The arena has five platforms from the main platform, and each of them have a flame marking, what you have to do is use FLUDD's Rocket Nozzle and Ground Pound to shatter the platform, which causes the arena to tilt and send hot water into Mario's direction, repeat this process until all five platforms are destroyed, and that is the end of the final battle.
Then we go through some cutscenes, and how much the overuse of the Rocket Nozzle has done to FLUDD, and we see Bowser and his son talking about how Peach isn't really Bowser Jr.'s mother, and Bowser Jr. wants to rematch against Mario sometime in the future, as he does become a recurring boss character in the Super Mario series.
Then we get to the credits, and I like how the credits theme is also a remaster of the Delfino Plaza theme, and it will show photos of Mario, Peach, Toadsworth, and the Toads spending their vacation at Isle Delfino, and the ending picture is different depending on how many Shine Sprites you have, if you have all 120, the picture would be Mario and the others in Casino Delfino with the words "Have a relaxing vacation!" on the screen, if you have less than 120 Shine Sprites, the ending picture would be Il Piantissimo finding the Magic Paintbrush on the beach.
When you have entered Corona Mountain, there is one secret that you unlock, if you talk to the Pianta on the beach, it's the one that gives Mario some shades, but he will also give Mario a tropical shirt as well, this outfit did appear in Super Mario Odyssey, and it was also a variant of Mario in Mario Kart Tour.
With Super Mario Sunshine done, this leaves Super Mario Galaxy as the last game out of the Super Mario 3D All-Stars collection, and even though I found the controls to be weird with the Switch Pro Controller, I did like the update where you can use the GameCube controller when playing Super Mario Sunshine on the Switch. While it's not my favourite 3D Mario game when it comes to 100% completion, it did have some challenges, and as Corona Mountain is the final area in the game, that area was very challenging as you had to be wary of spiked platforms and lava, one thing I didn't like about this game was the fact you can't even skip the cutscenes, which is one reason why many players find Super Mario Sunshine to be underrated compared to Super Mario 64, but it was still a good game.
