Part 8: Archive of Horrors

Last set of levels recorded in 3 different days. Time to end this

-w4-Fortress: Perma Ban /f/ortress: I'm here just for Snacks, the level itself is excelent. The fight is simple with only 4 attacks in play, the thing that can cause you troubles is the despawning sprites for the most part. Oh yeah if you lose be ready to do all the level again as there's no midpoint in Snacks door
-Special-0 Bender's Big Score: The entrance to the special world, but to enter you need the code found after Snacks fight and it can only be fought after Sneedzoid. The level puzzle is more simple than v2 so you don't have to think much. also i accidentally hit Ayamari with the shell (And it turned into a toad)
-Special-1 Dear Nintendo: This level just confirmed me even more that the D-pad of the Pro Controller sucks. The level gimmick is On/Off blocks, it can mess with your mind trust me, the level structure is a bit messy but it's doable. Decent Level
-Special-2 NOPAN DAY: Pantsu avoiding stage, yes it's one of these. Through all the level there's Capes/Panties you must avoid or else you're screwed. I like the different designs of these, and i believe it's RNG based similar to the Shiny mudkips in v2 "Current Maze". Very good level
-Special-3 Meteor Wave: I like this one, it's a colorful stage with the layer 2 moving up and down to create a challenge, consider me a fan. This level made me realize i can't "Pause-Select" to exit stage, it was supposedly a Bug that was fixed in v1.06 (The most recent update a friend told me while i was in Conception)
-Special-4 Ampharos Hell: This stage is short but very inconsistent with the setups, SPECIALLYY the bouncing cats/footballs, these where my biggest issue with this stage. Thematically is good and simple. Decent Stage
-Special-5 CONCEPTION: I recorded this stage in a different video to keep track of the sizes and boy originally it took me 1 hour to beat, then i accidentally deleted the video while deleting old garbage, so yet again, sorry conception anon. The stage gimmick is simple, L to shoot, R to Star. The first half has decent obstacles, nothing crazy, Second half ramps up suddenly and throws a bunch of confusing obstacles at you, what a way to go downhill, and v1.06 didn't had a midpoint in the end, that was added in v1.08 i believe. Still, aside for the second section this level is fine
-Special-6 Paint Panic: Here i updated to v1.06 as a friend told me "hey they updated this shit", it fixed the pause-select issue and some minor fuck ups. Paint Panic, oh boy Paint Panic, made byy the same anon that did "Art Attack" on v2, this level is for the most part the same concept. Thematically the level is fantastic. Variety wise i think is a step back from v2. The level is dividen in 3 sections, First one is the most varied with enemies and hazards, second uses Mecha Koopas and third goes back to Dobson with a bouncy Hat kid, and the third section is the most difficult to traverse despite being short, then the boss, it's memorization and you need to payy attention to the sides, it was a good boss. Then we have the alt path. Son of a bitch this was HARD, it's mostly RNG and Boo manipulation, so in short, luck based bullshit. Despite that i loved the idea and that yellow fishing boo
-Special-7 Booster Mountain The Final Summit: I'm impressed in Booster's progrees through the series, this has to be the best level made by him yet. I can see he loves celeste and did a better job than Markalarm and his "Celeste.SMC" crap (if it's not him ofc). This was a blast to play
-Special-8 The Grand /v/inale: v.08, And here we are, in the big final. The final set of 8 rooms, some reminiscent of v2, some originals and some remixes of v3, some were simplier, some were fun, some were confusing. I loved Tom room specially despite being tricky, mini room was fine too, overall everyone did a good job. The boss has fast attacks but they aren't much so you can memorize them easily, aside for the dash one

Conclusion: And with that I'm done, this was a good hack but the difficulty holds it back a bit for me to like it over v2. Still, this was a good hack but if you play it be prepared for difficult shit. And don't go for 100% unless you want to
