Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island - Tutorial + World 1-1
The sequel to the greatness that is Super Mario World on the SNES, Super Mario World 2 was later released on the GBA as Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3, mainly with 6 new "secret" levels. This is quite different from the first game. Acting like a prequel to all Mario games, you control different colored Yoshies in order to reunite baby Mario with baby Luigi. If you get touched, you have 10 seconds (more if you collect little stars) to touch Baby Mario, which is in a floating bubble, before he gets kidnapped, making you lose a life. Getting hit countless times by enemies do not kill you, it's really just a matter of getting baby Mario back, and not falling between the gaps in the ground, like a standard platformer. You can eat your enemies with Yoshi's tongue and transform them into little eggs that you can throw at various things. You can also pounce the ground. It has a unique art style that looks like it's hand-drawn and an original concept featuring very different gameplay from its predecessor (making it a new memorable experience). It might just be the greatest game to star Yoshi as its main character, having nearly nothing to do with the kinda sequel on the N64, Yoshi's Story, which is many times inferior (and not a good game at all).
