In this video, I demonstrate a technique that I found to effectively reset the game using the X-ray scope in the out-of-bounds area of Landing Site (the room in Crateria with Samus' ship). The effects of this technique are essentially identical to a traditional "Spacetime Beam Reset." In other words, this causes all previously defeated bosses/mini-bosses to re-appear, all doors to be reset to their original states, and all previously collected items to re-appear. Additionally, just like traditional Spacetime Resets, if you save and re-load the game file after performing this technique, you will re-start at Ceres Station and lose your Missiles after the Intro plays. Of note, this technique will also "turn off" the Zebes escape flag/trigger, if it was "on" previously. It will NOT, however, turn off the countdown timer, if it was turned on by defeating Mother Brain. This is because the countdown timer's "state" (on/off) is stored in a different part of the game's memory/RAM (address 7E:0943). As far as I know, the timer can only be "turned off" by saving and re-loading the game file.

Here are the steps to pull this off:

(1) Go to the Landing Site (the room in Crateria with Samus' ship).
(2) Get stuck in the door to the left of the ship (https://youtu.be/ianlHb4kmtc?t=222 - watch until 5:20), then X-ray climb until you are out-of-bounds (https://youtu.be/ianlHb4kmtc?t=1070 - watch until 18:20).
(3) Navigate the out-of-bounds to the proper location.
(a) Navigate according to Total's ("tewtal" on YouTube) "Any% Glitched Tutorial", starting at this point - https://youtu.be/7w2JpDtfNRg?t=576, and ending at 11:42. Do NOT follow the tutorial beyond this point. You should (once again) be on top of a copy of the room where you started the out-of-bounds navigation.
(b) Once more, fall down vertically from the left edge of the platform you're on, as was described by Total (using the "1-2-3" method). This should be the **THIRD** time that you've fallen down vertically from this location.
(c) After you hear Samus land a few seconds later, you should be in the proper position to activate X-ray. If you used Total's "1-2-3" method to fall down, you should be facing right at this point.
(4) Facing right, turn on the X-ray scope until the screen turns orange. Then, while continuing to have X-ray active, hold DOWN on the D-pad until the screen turns solid black. You can turn off X-ray now. Although the screen looks totally black, you'll still be able to see Samus during the final out-of-bounds navigation.
(5) Navigate, as you did above, until you are once again on top of (a copy of) the room where you started the out-of-bounds navigation.
(6) Transition to the Crateria Tube as demonstrated in my previous video: https://youtu.be/ianlHb4kmtc?t=1116.
(7) Once you're in the tube, you're done! Everything should now be reset.

This technique works because activating the X-ray scope in this particular location and manner turns a chunk of the game's memory/RAM to "00" values, including the boss and mini-boss flags (RAM addresses 7E:D828 through 7E:D82E), the item collection flags (RAM addresses 7E:D870 - 7E:D87A and 7E:D880 - 7E:D883), the door state flags (RAM addresses 7E:D8B0 - 7E:D8BC and 7E:D8C0 - 7E:D8C5), the "start-at-Ceres" flag (RAM address 7E:D914), and the escape flag (RAM address 7E:D821).
