Hey, everyone! In this quick video, I demonstrate how the mini-boss Bomb Torizo can be killed (or, more accurately, resurrected and then killed) using Hyper Beam during the Zebes escape. Obviously, that requires some tricks to pull off, since the “animals” (Dachora and Etecoons) are normally in his room during the escape, and you probably killed Bomb Torizo at the beginning of the game anyway. ;)

In the video, I enter the out-of-bounds area of the Landing Site (the room with Samus’ ship) via X-ray climbing and then navigate to a specific location, at which point I activate the X-ray scope. The particular manner in which I activate X-ray manipulates the game’s memory in such a way that the escape sequence is “turned off” (except for the timer) and the game is effectively reset, similar to the effects of the Spacetime Beam. If you want to learn how to pull this off yourself, check out my “Beamless Spacetime” video, and be sure to read the video description for the full instructions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qeQDPi2LcLk.

It is also possible to kill Bomb Torizo (and all the other bosses/mini-bosses) with Hyper Beam without having to deal with a strict 3-minute “time limit.” To learn how to explore Zebes with Hyper Beam without ever even starting the escape timer, check out my other video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ianlHb4kmtc. In that video, at 20:11, I state that you cannot kill Bomb Torizo with Hyper Beam because the escape sequence is still active. That is true, unless you use the technique in this video to turn off the escape sequence. :)

Take that, Bomb Torizo. Thanks for watching, everyone! Let me know if you have any questions/comments/feedback. :)
