In Super Metroid, there is a trick that goes by several names: Charge Beam Combo, Power Bomb Combo, Beam Shield, Special Beam Attack (SBA), etc. This trick is performed by equipping only Charge Beam and one other beam (Ice, Wave, Spazer, or Plasma), selecting Power Bombs on the top of the screen (HUD), and then charging the beam for a couple of seconds. The trick takes away 1 of Samus's Power Bombs.

You may be aware that if, while a combo/shield/SBA is active, you pause the game and change which beams are equipped, the appearance of the combo/shield/SBA will change accordingly.

In this video, I initiate an Ice Beam Combo/Shield/SBA just moments before the game gives Samus the Hyper Beam. Then, once the Hyper Beam is gained and automatically equipped, the appearance of the Combo/Shield/SBA changes to appear similar to the Hyper Beam. This is obviously the only time in the game when you can pull this off.

Similarly to my "Oops... Samus Killed The Baby!" video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-akUauQyV4), you will need over 300 Power Bombs to pull this off (I had 305), which you can acquire by either utilizing the Spacetime Beam/Reset Glitch repeatedly, or by simply using cheats/hacks.
