This here my playthrough of Super Metroid, using a "Zero Suit" Combat Armor hack that was released semi recently as of this recording. You can find the romhack here: http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/5647/


This is my first true Metroid game on my channel, since the first "Metroid" related thing I did was play a Zero Suit mod in Resident Evil HD Remaster. But here I am now playing Super Metroid with a romhack that's giving me the closest thing to a suitless mode that I don't mind. (Since the Justin Bailey hack released years ago is a bit much for my tastes.) So here we have the Zero Suit with some armor here and there. Otherwise not a bad look.


Anyway, after Samus gives us a rough recap of the first two Metroid title, we're then thrust into the thick of it on Ceres Station after she had just left a Metroid hatchling in their care. So in other words Samus had just barely finished her mission in Metroid 2 and she ends up back right into it.


We encounter a familiar foe having stolen the infant and slaughtered the colony, and we then pursue him back to our old stomping grounds back on Zebes. We make our way back into the depths and things are both familiar and yet different, as we take on two different mini bosses in this session.


I'm not going for 100% in this run, but I am to get what I can get as fast as possible. And I use some speedrun strats a little after having more or less semi mastered the wall jump to get some things you otherwise have to wait for otherwise. You'll see how crazy this can get later.
