And here we make our way into the wrecked ghost ship, the most out of place location in Super Metroid and Metroid as a whole, despite what people have technically uncovered and such, it just feels so off putting. But then again I suppose that's the point of it. Here, we face off against the second main boss finally, Phantoon, a real nasty boss to square off against. And afterwards we finally get the Gravity suit before we venture into the underwater location, which we could've ventured into those locations earlier, but would've wasted so much time if we did.


We get another reserve tank, and also reach the second row of Energy tanks finally. We make another use of a wall jump sequence break to get the spring ball, and make are way towards the left side of Maridia. The quicksand pits here are tricky to get out of due to the fact they don't quite behave like Mario Bros quicksand.


Also, I can't believe I finally registered this after having played Super, Fusion, and Zero Mission so long and never picked up on this. But the eyeball doors now mark the boss rooms. I can't believe it took me this long to realize that. At least for one of the main bosses.
