And so here we are in the final stretch of the game. The final area has tricky enemies but we're about as set as we're gonna be. If you check the map by this point, you'll realize we started dead center in the map, and traveled right, down, left, up, right, and up a little higher in sort of a spiral pattern. Not that the map layout resembles that of a spiral but figuratively that's what we've done when progressing through. And the final final area is at the tip top of this place.


Anyway, we're suddenly confronted with Karla again as she attempts to serve as Deedlit's final test, which is essentially us going up against every single boss we've defeated in the game in a continuous boss rush. It minuses first encounters and goes straight to second encounters, I.E. we don't go up against Pirotess after Abram, only after Narse which was her final battle, the "true" encounter in a sense. We plow through the early bosses because we're both super high level and have far superior weaponry so we make mince meat out of em, and we get several levels from this.


In the end though, we make final stops around the areas of the map we didn't have access to until now and get the last few collectables that are hidden in the map before heading to the final area. But not before visiting the area where we began, as Deedlit is now recognizing it finally. Although she can't fully recall she knows she's supposed to know what it is. After that, we head into the true spiral section of the final area, as we traverse through each circle we're reminded of the clues and hints Deedlit was told as we're informed flat out that this place isn't real, and it's all in fact a fabrication of Deedlit's mind.


It's, a bit unsettling but then again, mind games and such were always on the trippy side and unnerving and this final section does just that. But after Parn beckons Deedlit further in one last time, her sense of reality begins to waver as she begins to have a memory, she clearly recalls that monument now and we can see the true sky and surrounding area a bit, not in the place we saw it at the beginning of the game.


Pirotess' words from earlier, on how Deedlit has to prepare herself echo repeatedly as she begins to take this to heart despite being in her dizzied state.(And yeah I had her duck to collect herself slightly. Just creative flare.) After that, we proceed down to the final area, leaving the ending for last.
