Super Robot Wars GC Gamecube English Patched v 1.0 Chapter 5 - War for Two
Super Robot Wars GC is a game from the Super Robot Wars series and the only game released for Gamecube on 16 December 2004. I used Dolphin Emulator version 5.0 and English patch for this game.
The gameplay seems to be a mix of Dynasty Warriors Gundam and general Super Robot Wars gameplay. In every SRW games, pilots have their own spirits or people often called it magic that would help the pilot by increasing his or her morale, perfectly dodging attack once, etc. The unit also has its own terrain capability which indicated by the name of the terrain along with alphabet of S, A, B, C, or D. Units with S for land means that the unit can unleash its full potential on land and that goes the same for other terrains. The new gameplay is the concept of attack mecha body parts. All mechas have four body parts: Body (Main part. If this body part's hit point reaches zero, the entire unit considered destroyed while ignoring the other parts), Head (Sub parts. If this part's hit point reaches zero, the accuracy and evasion of the unit will drop by 30% percent as the head serves as the eyes and without it, the pilot can't see what's attacking his or her and the pilot can't dodge something that he or she can't see), Arms (Sub parts. If this part's hit point reaches zero, the weapons mounted on the arms will be rendered unusable as it couldn't be operated), Legs (Sub parts. If this part's hit point reaches zero, the movement of the unit would drop into 1 move as without legs, the unit couldn't move normally and weapons mounted on legs would probably rendered unusable).
I did what I promised. The game has already adapted with the final patch. Hmm...the style of the text in the final patch looks like it came from Word but....the most notable thing is that now the three Japanese texts that appear when a unit either enemy or ally are fully translated into English. The three Japanese texts translate but right now, the texts haven't appeared yet but those three texts will appear in the next extra chapter instead (I wouldn't explain the meaning of them yet until next chapter). One Japanese text that sometimes appear when a unit got hit now translate into Critical instead of クリティカル.
This chapter used the plot of the first episode from Mobile Suit Gundam 08th MS Team. Shiro Hamada along with Michel were looking at the space inside the Salamis. Shiro seems to be excited at how wide the space was despite the fact that both of them are heading to the battlefield inside Salamis much to Michel's sigh in his mind (I think he was complaining in his mind about Shiro's act). While Michel promised himself that he will survive and come back safely for his girlfriend B.B, an explosion happen from far away but each explosion gets closer to Salamis much to Shiro and Michel's surprise. Meanwhile, Terry Sanders and the rest of 08th MS Team tried to escape and request for permission to board the Salamis yet Reed wouldn't allow as it will cause the Salamis covert operation to be exposed to the enemies. Each of the members got shot down and Sanders had no choice but to let his last member sacrifice himself so that Sanders could regroup with the Salamis. The White Base arrive late as the battle had already started and the Salamis asked captain Bright of White Base to help eliminate the enemies while the Cosmo Ranger arrive afterward with Kid complaining that the battle had already started. Omachi said that the zone often used to test new units which Isaac said that the enemies are easy for the J9 but warn to be ready for Char when he show up. Char didn't show up but Sander's unit doesn't seem to be useful much because the low damage his weapons inflict to the enemy (Even the weapon with highest attack could only deal damage half of the enemy unit's HP regardless of the armor).
I hope you like it. Help my channel grow by subscribe for more walkthrough. Stay tuned and enjoy :-)
Note for every Super Robot Wars games: Each character has their own respective soundtrack just like the classic Super Robot Wars series. Each soundtrack's right of the game belong to their respective owner. I have no right for these game soundtracks cause they came from the game itself.
