Super Robot Wars GC Gamecube English Patched Chapter Extra Chapter - In Order to Protect Peace
Super Robot Wars GC is a game from the Super Robot Wars series and the only game released for Gamecube on 16 December 2004. I used Dolphin Emulator version 5.0 and English patch for this game.
The gameplay seems to be a mix of Dynasty Warriors Gundam and general Super Robot Wars gameplay. In every SRW games, pilots have their own spirits or people often called it magic that would help the pilot by increasing his or her morale, perfectly dodging attack once, etc. The unit also has its own terrain capability which indicated by the name of the terrain along with alphabet of S, A, B, C, or D. Units with S for land means that the unit can unleash its full potential on land and that goes the same for other terrains. The new gameplay is the concept of attack mecha body parts. All mechas have four body parts: Body (Main part. If this body part's hit point reaches zero, the entire unit considered destroyed while ignoring the other parts), Head (Sub parts. If this part's hit point reaches zero, the accuracy and evasion of the unit will drop by 30% percent as the head serves as the eyes and without it, the pilot can't see what's attacking his or her and the pilot can't dodge something that he or she can't see), Arms (Sub parts. If this part's hit point reaches zero, the weapons mounted on the arms will be rendered unusable as it couldn't be operated), Legs (Sub parts. If this part's hit point reaches zero, the movement of the unit would drop into 1 move as without legs, the unit couldn't move normally and weapons mounted on legs would probably rendered unusable).
Since the rom I have been using all this time was a rom that has been patched, I couldn't update the patch version. I had no choice but to download the original Japanese version in order to apply the final version of the patch using Delta Patcher. This is the final version but the rom itself need a bit of readjustment for the untranslated Japanese part visible when a unit is shot down, I noticed it that the untranslated part will automatically turn into English in the next chapter (I hope this work -_-). I will show you more about it after this one video because I forgot to upload this extra chapter first before reaching chapter 3. This extra chapter appear between chapter 2 and chapter 3. In the fifth chapter, the game's text start to adapt with the patch and the text itself will turn fully English and even the format style of the text will turn slightly clearer as if you're writing from Word. Unbelievable :-O
Anyway, this will be the first SRW game to have extra chapter. Most older generation of SRW games don't have extra chapter like this. Extra chapter is different compared to other chapter as extra chapter can be replayed as many times as you want and the good thing is...you will keep the pilot's levels and money you gained from the extra chapter till the rest of the chapters unlike most chapters where you still keep every money and unit's level you raised in the intermission after you failed a mission. I replayed the extra chapter twice and I saw different scenarios for completing the extra chapter twice. First scenario after first completion is Ondoron swearing to the main characters not to think their battle ends here and the second scenario after completing the extra chapter twice starts in Jaku Empire Fortress where Belzeb scolds Taida for wasting all the Akudama robots they had again, much to Taida's sorry with Falzeb calling him a disgrace.
I hope you like it. Help my channel grow by subscribe for more walkthrough. Stay tuned and enjoy :-)
Reminder: I will treat this video as half of the gameplay video upload that I had planned so....next video will contain the fifth chapter of this game already adapted with the patch after the patching process using Delta Patcher. Be ready for the game's adaptation of the final patch.
Note for every Super Robot Wars games: Each character has their own respective soundtrack just like the classic Super Robot Wars series. Each soundtrack's right of the game belong to their respective owner. I have no right for these game soundtracks cause they came from the game itself.
