I use Fox to go through All-Star Mode, and while you do deal more damage to your opponents, this is usually from regular attacks and not projectiles, so Blaster isn't as effective, and the best KO options is his forward smash. You do take less damage and knockback from your opponent's attacks, but you do have to watch out for stage hazards, which keep their normal knockback.
As with Fox's Alt. Trophies, the 3DS version uses his red costume, that is his 3rd alternate costume, while his Wii U Alt. Trophy uses his green costume, that is his 4th alternate costume.
I will go over All-Star Mode and which characters you fight against.
Round 1 (2015-2007): Corrin, Greninja, Lucina, Robin, Dark Pit, Shulk, Bayonetta, Wii Fit Trainer, Rosalina & Luma
Round 2 (2006-2001): Lucario, Lucas, Ike, Zero Suit Samus, Toon Link, Bowser Jr., Roy, Olimar, Villager
Round 3 (1998-1994): Ganondorf, Sheik, Cloud, Jigglypuff, Charizard, Pikachu, Mewtwo, Diddy Kong, Ness
Round 4 (1993-1991): Meta Knight, Falco, Fox, Wario, King Dedede, Kirby, Sonic
Round 5 (1990-1986): Captain Falcon, Yoshi, Dr. Mario, Marth, Mega Man, Ryu, Palutena, Pit
Round 6 (1986-1984): Samus, Zelda, Link, Bowser, Peach, R.O.B., Duck Hunt Duo
Round 7 (1984-1980): Little Mac, Luigi, Donkey Kong, Mario, Pac-Man, Mr. Game & Watch

Like how I went over how the Kirby series appear in one battle, the Star Fox series characters appear in that fight as well, and I do like the concept of Orbital Gate Assault, even though the stage was not brought back into Ultimate, while you do start on the Great Fox, you do fight on missiles and Arwings, and there is a secret taunt on that stage, and to activate it, neither Fox or Falco must not be in the battle. Other stages that appear in the Wii U version are Halberd, Lylat Cruise, Gamer, Windy Hill Zone, and Dream Land (64), while in the 3DS version, the stages are Dream Land, Corneria, WarioWare, Inc., Green Hill Zone, and Dream Land (64).
Fox's Final Smash Trophy for the Landmaster, the Trophy name is "Landmaster (Fox)", possibly to tell that it is Fox's version of the Landmaster, and it displays Fox standing beside the Landmaster, that appearance was also used in the Brawl Trophy for Fox's Final Smash.
