The new update for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is now live, and we get a new DLC character, and out of all the characters from ARMS, Min Min was the one that would be a playable character in this game.
This is the first DLC character from the 2nd Fighters Pass, and I do like how they went with an ARMS character to start it off, Min Min is a character that uses her ARMS to fight, so she is more of a ranged fighter, as her attacks have great range, but she has a tough time fighting up close. Because we got Dream Land GB as the stage, it can be tough, as it is a side scrolling stage, and Min Min is a lot better on flat stages or ones that do not side scroll.
Min Min is a unique character out of all the ones we have so far, her A and B attacks launch punches, A is for her left ARM, and B for her right ARM, and B would usually be a Special move, but for Min Min's neutral special, it is just a punch, and her side special can be charged up like a smash attack.
Her up special is ARMS Jump when she is on the ground, and it can be charged to increase her height, and if she is in the air, she will instead use ARM Hook, which can be used as a tether recovery, Min Min is one of few characters to have a tether recovery for her up special, the others being Ivysaur, Joker, and Byleth.
Min Min's down special is ARMS Change, which allows her to swap ARMS out during the fight, she will start with Ramram, while not as powerful, it can be angled, Megawatt is slower, but more powerful, so it is good for getting in an easy KO, and Dragon can fire a laser if you hold down the attack button. She does also have one of the longest grab in the game, and it can power up her left Dragon ARM for 20 seconds. Another thing about Min Min is that her up smash can reflect projectiles, but she doesn't have the best air speed, and from what I have read, Min Min can perform Smash attacks while in the air.
Min Min's Final Smash is another cinematic Final Smash, much like almost every other DLC character before her, it is called ARMS Rush, and a bunch of ARMS Fighters will appear in the cinematic and unleash their attacks, and Min Min delivers the final blow with her Dragon ARM. As for my thoughts, I do like Min Min's playstyle in this game, as she is a character that has good range with her ARMS.
Min Min comes with a new stage from ARMS, and it is not Ramen Bowl, which was her home stage in ARMS, instead it is Spring Stadium, which is Spring Man's home stage, but Ramen Bowl did get a new remix, which is good. I would put Spring Stadium as my favourite new stage in this game, because before then, Garreg Mach Monastery and Yggdrasil's Altar were two of my favourite DLC stages, Spring Stadium has taken over as my favourite DLC stage. I will explain about Spring Stadium whenever it shows up in any of my online matches.
As I explained about Dream Land GB not being the best stage for Min Min, my opponent in the battle used Mario, and he did prove to be a decent opponent for this one, but at least I get to test out Min Min in this online match.
