Check Batteries: Open the battery compartment and replace AA or AAA batteries with fresh ones. For Roku Voice Remote Pro, ensure it’s fully charged.
Enable HDMI-CEC on TV: Using your TV remote, go to your TV’s settings and enable HDMI-CEC (may be called Bravia Sync, Anynet+, or similar). This allows the Roku remote to control TV power.
Set Up Remote for TV Control:
Press Home on your Roku remote.
Navigate to Settings - Remotes & Devices - Remotes - [Your remote] - Set up remote for TV control.
Follow on-screen prompts to detect your TV brand and test the power button (takes ~45 seconds).
Test Power Button: Point the remote at the TV and press the Power button to turn the TV on/off. For IR remotes, ensure a clear line of sight to the TV’s sensor.
