Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis #45 - Return to Urodela & Solea [Path B] - (No Commentary)
3On the way back through Arena, you get another scene with Aerial. This time she’s calmer, wondering how Chloeri’s sister could have loved a human so much she sacrificed everything. She even thanks you for saving Minerva and admits she misjudged you. Then she makes it official by saying she’s joining the party.
Back at Urodela, you meet Cybil again and report what you’ve learned. She doesn’t know much about Berevra, the golden mermaid with scales of gold who once loved a human and carried a divine weapon. After some talk, Alphonse admits he doesn’t have anywhere else to go. Cybil says you’re equals now and offers her support. Alphonse then remembers Eleanor’s story about seeing a golden mermaid long ago, and decides to return to Solea to ask her about it.
At Solea, Alphonse finds Eleanor late at night by the ocean, but notices she’s bleeding. She brushes it off, blaming herself for what happened with Father Hamen. Alphonse cares for her, then asks about the golden mermaid, but that backfires. Eleanor gets upset, accuses him of using her, and storms off. Things only get worse when White Fang soldiers show up and try to take her away. Alphonse steps in, leading to a tough fight against a dragoon, archers, and dragons.
After the battle, the dragoon questions if Eleanor is worth protecting, then dies leaving you the Fafnir. Eleanor is still upset, but later Cybil helps smooth things over. Eleanor finally reveals she really does know Berevra, even showing a necklace given to her. She tells Alphonse where Berevra went long ago, but only after he shows he cares about her safety. She also makes it clear she doesn’t want to be left behind again and asks to go with him.
You then get an important choice. Accept her, and Eleanor joins as a party member, determined to learn how to fight and grow strong alongside you. Reject her, and you miss out on that bond. Once she joins, the map expands and a new area, Aquila, opens up near Formido.

"Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis" (タクティクスオウガ外伝 ザ・ナイト・オブ・ローディス) is a TRPG for the GBA and a prequel to the Ogre Battle series. You play as Alphonse Loeher, a soldier from Lodis who discovers the harsh truth about his country’s treatment of the land of Ovis and eventually stands against his former allies. The game is mission-based, with battles fought on grid maps where smart use of character classes and stats is the key to victory.
